By your side by Katie West might be my favorite books of this entire year. She combines romance mystery and a whole lot of adventure in the one book. Kasie's characters are wonderful and you can easily feel like you're part of the book. I fell in love with the main character and she made me laugh throughout the book. This book is ,of course, another love triangle which (in my opinion) can only be pulled off by the one and only Kasie West. The plot of the story is incredible and keeps you reading all night long until you finish it, and then when you finish it you don't want it to end. I think this may be my favorite novel she has written yet. It combines so many elements I love into one super enjoyable, amazing story. When I first read the synopsis I wasn't sure what to think of this book I wasn't sure what to expect, I normally don't like the type a story when the main characters have a love-hate relationship, but I have never failed to not fall in love with a Kasie West book. By Your Side is for the romance lovers or anyone looking for a super cute story to read and the setting of the library how could it be any better?

The next day, someone else has written back to her on the desk! Soon enough Lily and the mystery student are exchanging notes, and lyrics, and even sharing secrets. When Lily finds out that her anonymous pen pal is a guy, she's flustered -- and kind of feels like she's falling for him. She and her best friend set out to unravel the identity of the letter writer -- but when the truth is revealed, the guy is the LAST person Lily could have ever imagined it to be. Now that Lily knows the truth, can she untangle her feelings and gather the courage to listen to her heart?

My Review
How does Kasie West do it, seriously. Everytime I think she can't possibly write a better book than her last one, she does! Kasie West is one of my all time favorites and she never disappoints! The love triangle in this book was one of the things I loved most in this book. Lily is such a fun, quite and a little bit sassy character to read about. Lily is a girl with big dreams, she wants to be a musican but she's afraid to share her song's with the world, or anyone. Lily also hates chemistry and that's how she meets her new friend, who happens to be a boy. Lily thinks it might be the boy she has had a crush on for a long time, but what if it isn't, and she starts falling for this new boy, and so the love triangle begins. Lily and her best friend try to solve the mystery, which adds a lot of adventure to the book! This is one of my favorite reads of the year and one of my all time favorite contempories/romance books! When you don't have a book to read a Kasie West book is the perfect choice.

Two Summers- Book Review
"ONE SUMMER in the French countryside, among sun-kissed fields of lavender . . . ANOTHER SUMMER in upstate New York, along familiar roads that lead to surprises . . . When Summer Everett makes a split-second decision, her summer divides into two parallel worlds. In one, she travels to France, where she’s dreamed of going: a land of chocolate croissants, handsome boys, and art museums. In the other, she remains home, in her ordinary suburb, where she expects her ordinary life to continue — but nothing is as it seems. In both summers, she will fall in love and discover new sides of herself. What may break her, though, is a terrible family secret, one she can't hide from anywhere. In the end, it may just be the truth she needs the most. From New York Times bestselling author Aimee Friedman comes an irresistible, inventive novel that takes readers around the world and back again, and asks us what matters more: the journey or the destination.

My Review:
Two Summers was the perfect summer read! You basically get two stories in one book, one story is in France and one story is in New York! Personally I enjoyed the story when Summer (The main character) was in France over when she was in New York. The "France story" had a ton of adventure,
mystery, and romance! If your worried you will get confused on where Summer is don't worry, the author did a amazing job of letting you know which place Summer was in! I didn't get confused once! I am giving the "France story" 5 stars and I am giving the "New York story" 4 stars! It is the perfect book to finish your summer off with! I really enjoyed seeing the different perspectives of Summer depending on where she was! I really enjoyed this book, it was such a fun, delightful read! Summer was such a fun, sassy young character that I loved reading about! One of my favorite things in both stories was the mystery in each one! It was hard to put down! In the ending was such a suprise and super cute! This is a must read in summer!

Insurgent- Book Review
Insurgent- Book Review
⅘ Stars
Veronica Roth
Katherine Tegen Books
Synopsis from Goodreads:
"One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth's much-anticipated second book of the dystopian DIVERGENT series is another intoxicating thrill ride of a story, rich with hallmark twists, heartbreaks, romance, and powerful insights about human nature."
My Review:
The Divergent series is one of my all time favorite series ever! All of the books are wonderful but I will admit Insurgent is my least favorite of the three. I loved getting to see more of Four, Tris, Peter, Caleb, Christina and all the other characters again! This book was full of action, adventure, and mystery. Just when you think you know what is going to happen there is a plot twist! Insurgent is packed with action, adventure, secerts, supsence. This sequel to Divergent will keep you reading all night. With Tris and Four planning something big which could change everything. One little mistake could ruin everything but it's worth the risk. Tris needs to decide who to trust and who is on her side. Tris doesn't realize all that she is capable of and what she could do.
The only negitive thing I would have to say about this book was I didn't feel like you could connect to Tris and Four in this book mostly because it felt like they were fighting the whole time and couldn't trust each other.
This book is full of new ideas, dreams, and choices. Faction over Blood? Who can I really trust? Is it worth it?
This series is a must read for all dystopian lovers!
